ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਚੋਣ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ 20 ਮਈ ਦੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਲਾਹਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਲੈ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਡਾ. ਐਸ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਰਾਜੂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਚੋਣ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣੀ ਡਿਊਟੀ ‘ਤੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
